Cousin Time

Brooke and I met up with my sister and Gavin for a little park time. Unfortunately, the material on the equipment was too hot for Brooke to crawl around on and poor Gavin couldn't go down the slides. We opted for a little swing time then headed over to visit the snow cone man. Since Brooke was still in her car seat, we just gave her a bowl of plain ice. It was gone before we got a mile down the street. My sister was the one that shared her plain ice with Brooke to begin with and since Brooke was out and wanting more, my sister and I pulled over so she could get some more from her (we were in 2 vehicles). My sister headed back to her house to get the pool filled up while Brooke and I stopped at Sears to pick up our new double stroller. YEAH!! Then, Brooke and I made a pit stop at Target and bought our own snow cone machine!!! We are both hooked!!! Gavin was already swimming when we got to their house. Brooke couldn't wait to get in!! She barely let me get her undressed and doused with sunscreen! Poor baby had to swim in her birthday suit (Gavin did share his swimmie diapers). All Brooke wanted to do was push off the side to standing and see how long she could stand by herself! She did very good for about 20-30 mins, catching herself when she fell on her butt, but after she started wearing down, she managed to go under for a few seconds. Somehow, both me and my sister caught it on video.

Brooke enjoying her pool time.

Brooke thinks she can climb the stairs to get on the slide. WRONG!!!!

Gladly, she managed to hold her breath and not take in any water so I didn't have to watch her cough up any water.

Trying to pass the time without Daddy

Hanging out at Shelby's school waiting for the Fun Run to begin. Sadly we didn't make it through to Kalyn's fun run due to some belly issues with Brooke. After a nap, she was all good for some time at the park.

Brooke enjoying the swing until she noticed a cute little 2 year old boy on the playground. She stared him down !! We moved over to the slide area she she could play with him. He was such a cute little "toe head".

Brooke in the tube staring at Brody (the little boy).

After Brody left, Brooke just crawled around while I ran around making sure she didn't fall down any of the slides.

"Hmmm....should I?"

She has to explore and touch every inch of the playground. She got a little upset when she couldn't eat the mulch.

Brooke watching the family swimming in the pool next to the park.

Brooke thinking she can climb over the "beam".

Brooke finally being mobile enough to crawl and climb on the blow ups at Jumpin Jax.

Isn't he the cutest "Thing" you've ever seen? lol
Word on the street is he liked this shirt sooo much, he took it with him on his training trip.

Brooke going down the "Big" slide. You can hear Gavin in the background saying "she fell down".

Getting into things!

Brooke and Dutch having a staring contest at the back door. It's one of her new favorite things to do...Stop and stare at Dutch then walk along the walls.

She recently discovered my pots and pans.

Now she's trying to get into Daddy's suitcase.

My silly girl showing off her cheesy grin!

Getting into her diaper bag now! I now understand why people with kids don't have clean houses.

Mommy and daughter showing off our grins.

The biggest NERD cutting the grass before he headed off to training. Look at those cool wrangler jeans and smokin' hot boots!!! LOL

This picture just cracks me up!!!

Getting Brooke's ears pierced!

After contemplating many months about having Brooke's ear's pierced, I did it!! Every time I went to the mall, much to my relief, there would only be one person there to do it. They usually require 2 people on small kids. My sister and I went to the mall and I popped my head in the store to ask if there were two people on duty to which she replied "no". Brooke had managed to dodge it once again and I was 75% relieved! Then she says "there will be someone else here in a few minutes". Great! Now I have to actually do it! :( We still had some shopping to do and I didn't want to torture Brooke until it was close to her nap time. On the way out of the mall, we stopped back by and again there was only one person. Of course the lady says, "the other girl will be right back, she went to get lunch. You can fill out the paperwork and we'll be ready when she gets here". I felt terrible filling out the paperwork!!! I think the whole process was more stressful on me!!! A few teething tablets and some tylenol...we were ready!

Here is the footage of Brooke's tramatic event! Luckily Brooke didn't cry too much after it was done. She had some milk and passed out! She tried to show off her earrings in the last part of the clip but she was too busy being silly!

Enjoying dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. Her ears didn't seem to be bothering her.

It's STILL a Boy!!

I had my 20 week ultrasound yesterday that confirmed he was still a he!!! We have finally picked a name we think Poppy will LOVE!!! Ready.....George W. Gritter!

OK Poppy, calm down!!! ....really we have not picked a name for him yet. Jeff doesn't like any names so far. I even called out names from the NFL draft picks and still nothing. It's a good thing we have a few more months to go!

Flint River Aquarium

On the way back from Florida, we decided to stop in Albany for a picnic and visit the Flint River Aquarium. It's not a very big aquarium but it gave Brooke a nice break from her car seat.

Here she is checking out the little turtle swimming around in his tank.

She wanted to stand up for a closer look!

Daddy giving her a boost up to check out the fish.

At least one of them had their eyes open!

Mommy managed to get in one picture on the trip!

No idea what this look was for!

Brooke getting to ride a big cement turtle.

Our sweet daughter trying to poke the turtles eyes out!

A vacation...from house hunting in Destin

Jeff, Brooke and I headed to the Fort Walton area to start our house hunting adventure. I'm sorry to say as of right now, we are still homeless starting the end of May. We hope something comes up soon so we can get settled and ready for Baby #2. Here are some pictures of Brooke's "grown-up" trip to the beach. She loved it!!! She did not want to get up once we sat her in the sand. She's going to be a Floridian in no time!!!

Daddy stealing a kiss as Brooke heads to the beach for her first "real" visit.

One of many stranded Jellyfish.

Brooke loved playing in the sand. She even took a few bites!

This was her favorite thing to do in the hotel!

Brooke enjoying dinner at Chili's.

Brooke's 2nd trip down to the beach. There was a warm pool of water she got to enjoy.

She could have sat there all day and played in the sand. I think she's going to enjoy moving to the beach!!

My beautiful girl in her bikini.

Our poor baby is developing early and popping out of her top!! lol

Swimming with Daddy at the hotel pool.

A few quick videos of Brooke enjoying the beach.
