Happy 30th Birthday Jeff!!!!

Jeff thinks now that he's 30, he gets nap time!! (Old people I swear)

Jeff's Birthday Cake - I'm so proud of myself!!!

I put 4 guys, since that's the normal clan on the course.

They did crap talk when they got to Sonny's. Jeff pointed to the hole and said "Isn't that the hole we beat you on?"

They didn't have a figurine breaking a club over his knee!

We surprised the younger guys at Sonny's after their golf game to celebrate their birthdays. Jeff's 30th is today and Shaan's 30th is on the 29th.

Gavin and Kalyn being silly while mommy sneaks bunny ears on them.

Brooke is curious now about the camera.

Wonder if I can eat that?

Let me see if I can reach it!!

Gavin after enjoying some birthday cake.

When Jeff asked me a few weeks ago "What kind of cake are you going to make me?" I thought oh lord!!! Some how, this idea came to me. Jeff didn't leave the house Sunday morning until 9:30. I only had 3 hours to make the cake which would give me an hour to get myself and Brooke ready and out the door. Brooke did challenge me a little buy doing 3 #2's in the middle of all the mess. (Yes, I washed my hands!!) Dad and Uncle Ronnie were in on the plan and kept me informed of what hole they were on and how long until they got to Sonny's. Luckily everything went pretty smoothly and we even had time to play with Dutch, spray him and fill his pool. Dad called and said they were finished and headed to Sonny's around 2pm. Luckily I was already there sitting at the table ready and waiting. Jeff and Shaan beat the old guys to Sonny's and saw us in the back corner with balloons and a cake. We decided not to sing so we didn't embarrass them and mainly ourselves. Jeff has to fly all night, so nothing big happening here tonight. Brooke and I want to wish Daddy a Happy 30th Birthday and a safe flight tonight!! We love you!

Some of this blog may be a bit disturbing to view!!

Jeff bought this shirt thinking it was a man's shirt!!

It came with guns!!!!

Anyone worried???

This is the adorable dress Aunt Kelly bought her (it came with the bunny ears she wore at Easter)

This picture just makes me melt. She loves her Mommy!!!

We finally got her to look at the camera.

Daddy and Brooke in front of the fountain at the car show.

I sure hate he's going to be gone and miss these moments with her.

Hanging out in the ice cream shop at the car show. I had left her white hat and my parents, so I had to use the one that didn't match, but she pulls it off so well!!!

Her treat....her hand!

The many pictures trying to get her to look at the camera without her hand in her mouth)...Take 1

Take 2

Take 3

Take 4

Take 5 (Oh well!)

What's going on outside??

Mommy and Brooke chillin next to the fountain.

5 Months Old!!!

Where does the time go????? She's growing up so fast!!!! I get tears in my eyes thinking pretty soon she'll be wanting to borrow the car!!! Of course by then, there won't be any cars. We'll all be flying around Jetson style. Here are some pictures from the days activities. We met the neighbor across the street (who has 10 month old twin boys!!) at the base commissary for the case lot sale (which wasn't as great as people made it out to be.) Afterwards, Brooke and I made a quick trip to target to pick up some items to make a gift basket for a couple on base who recently had a baby girl. This is the first time we tried Brooke's new basket cover. I figured since she's a big 5 months old we would try it out. She can't really sit up without falling over so I borrowed the pillow from her tummy time mat (Thanks Angie - 2 gifts in one!). She seemed to like the idea for a little while. The dots kept her busy! We met Uncle Steven for lunch at Sonic. Brooke missed it thought because she was asleep. We then headed home, snacked on some apple sauce while waiting on Poppi to arrive. Of course, being the wonderful eater that we are, she finished her applesauce very quickly. We let Dutch out of the backyard and waited around outside for Poppi. After playing in the water for a few minutes, Poppi was here!!

Here's our germ protected girl!!

Those are diapers in the background. They kinda look like feminine products..lol

Brooke with her Poppi!!! She sure missed him!!

The cart cover doubles as a high chair cover too! Our first time trying it out at a restaurant. We were at Outback Steakhouse for Happy Hour (well Poppi and I..hehe) and of course dinner.

She makes the funniest faces....lol

Course 3 Lesson 2 Cake

Class is only 2 hours and it takes about an hour to roll the fondant out, so we didn't finish our cakes but the teacher had told us that the class before. The finished cake has fondant flowers on it and a border around the bottom. Still came out cute! We also made one fondant rose (they take a while too!)

Sorry this picture is so dark, with the flash on it was a white screen and this was with flash off.

Cardiologist Appointment today

Well, we went to see the cardiologist who was the tie breaker between the two base pediatricians. One saying yes she has a heart murmur and one saying no heart murmur. The final result.....YES, she does have the faintest heart murmur, barely audible. The student following the doctor listened and couldn't hear it. The doctor said on a scale of 1 to 6 with 6 being the worst, she was at a half (less than 1). He said never mark any papers saying yes she has a heart murmur since it will be going away. So, that's the word!!!! Our baby girl is fine!!! While we were in the waiting room, a women came in with the tiniest baby I have ever seen. He was hooked up to oxygen...poor baby! Makes you thank god your baby is healthy!!!

Here's my 17.9 lb healthy girl!!

Random Videos

I tried to get more secret video but Jeff starts getting paranoid now and you see in the video I got caught!

Here my dad is playing with Brooke and he was thinking I was going to take a picture when I was actually taking video. Then you hear Jeff warning him that I was video taping!!!

Here is Brooke with her Great-Grandmother on her front porch swing. Brooke was actually petting the cat with her foot before I started taping. When Andy reaches over and messes with Brooke's leg, she does it again for a minute and the cat starts loving on her foot.

Green Bean Surprise!

Believe it or not, she got some in her mouth!

She takes a bite of green beans then follows it with a bite of the bib or her hand, sometimes both! I had to suction green beans out of one of her nostrils. (Can you guess which one?)

She decided to eat her new high chair toy too!

She's licking her lips to make sure she didn't leave any behind!

We decided to add a little milk into the mix. There's nothing better than green beans and milk together.

I decided since she pretty much had green beans everywhere she would need a bath, so I decided to let her feed herself. She loves chewing on spoons.

Mommy got smart today and stripped her down to her diaper to feed her carrots!!
