I can't believe how fast our little girl is growing up!!!!!She'll be 2 months old Thursday!! I have seen so many changes in her. She is getting so big!!! We've weighed her on our scale and got 12 lbs, but we'll get the final tally Friday at her two month Dr's. appt. She has many rolls (which are so cute!!!) and she's looking really long. She may be a tall girl, we'll see!!! Speaking of Dr.'s appts, her two month appt. means she has to get shots!!!! Daddy better be there!! Mommy needs moral support as they stick my baby girl. I hope she doesn't cry, but I'm sure she will. I would take her for ice cream afterwards, but she didn't want to breastfeed so she doesn't get any! She's sure missing out on a lot of yummy foods (mainly sweets!!) She's starting to smile a lot more now. It just melts my heart to see her eyes light up with a smile!!! I'm tearing up thinking about it now. Here are a few pictures of Brooke taken in Ft. Lauderdale last week!!
Welcome to the blog of the Gritz...Jeff, Candy, Brooke and our newest addition Austin. We have recently moved to the Panhandle of Florida with the Air Force and are ready to get settled into our new home with our beautiful kids. Let's see what new adventures we can get into!

Give Brooke her pacifer before and while she is getting her shots. Sucking releases pain endorphins so maybe she'll cope better. Also see if you or Jeff can hold her while she gets her shots and keep her swaddled as much as possible doing the shot. These are things we tried to encouage nurses and parents to do when I worked at the children's hospital to help infants cope. Good luck!
yep, you'll see tears for sure with the shots. After 4 kids I've almost grown immune to the terror of it all (sorry, Ash :)). You'll make it through (probably with tears of your own :)). I actually try to stay out of eye range when they do the shots (meaning I hold her legs and bottom end)...then she doesn't see my face as the "person injected torture" :) Stay strong and give that niece of mine a big hug! Love ya!
OH NO!! Not shot time!!! Poor Brooke! Give her a lollypop afterward...sugar makes everything better!! lol :)
I miss you Brooke. This house is way too quiet without you here!!! Cant wait to see you again!!( and Mommy and Daddy too :)Hugs and Kisses xoxoxoxo Nina
