The fajitas just arrived as I was taking this picture.

The little boy next to Brooke is a month older than she is, but Brooke would squish him. He has no rolls on him. Her legs are twice the size of his...lol....but I love her chubby legs!!!

After 4 weeks of Wilton Course 2 cake decorating, I am done and ready for my next courses!! I have decided to continue my classes at Michael's even though it's about $10 more. The teacher at Hobby Lobby was very hard to understand and my new teacher is a very good teacher. She is offering Courses 3 & 4 starting Monday. I am hoping to take them both this month before Jeff deploys. Course 3 is Fondant & tiered cakes and Course 4 is Fondant & gum paste. I am looking forward to Fondant & Gum Paste!!!

Lake Oconee

Last Saturday we headed up to Lake Oconee to meet up with my parents who were already there. A soon as we got there, the men took off to check out the lake while Mom and I took off on our own little expedition. We probably looked like two 99 year old smokers huffing and puffing while we were walking. Mom was carrying Brooke and I was pushing the stroller. The area is nothing but steep hills, boy did we feel out of shape!!! We finally made it to the club house where we sat in the air conditioning for about half an hour while Brooke ate. The men met up with us and we headed back to the camper. The guys decided to try to fish, but the weather didn't cooperate so we spent alot of time in the camper. The guys, being as competitive as they are, decided to crap talk through 3 games of Uno and some Yatzee. We finished the evening at the Mellow Mushroom and then we headed back home. Though the weather didn't cooperate, we had a good time just hanging out.

Shelby & her Mother's Day Gift

I had seen that Michael's was having a Mother's Day Event where the kids could make their mom a Mother's Day shirt. I knew that Nina would be visiting and wouldn't mind watching Brooke for a couple hours while I took Shelby to Michael's. The first thing we had to do when we got to Michael's was pick out a shirt for Mommy. Shelby immediately picked out a HUGE very bright yellow T-shirt. She picked it up and of course I tried to get her to get a smaller shirt and check out all the colors they had, but Shelby said "yellow is mommy's favorite color" and she wanted THAT shirt! She and 2 other girls sat at the craft table ready to paint. Shelby was so excited!! The shirt turned out very well. She wanted to write the words herself, so they are a little spread out and she made the # 1 upside down but I was so proud of her and she was very proud of herself. We then went for a Chocolate dipped cone at Dairy Queen (Shelby's pick) and then headed back to her house. On the way home, Shelby made some very funny comments. She told me "God made everything but pinecones because they hurt." The other comment started out "Why did God make boogers?" I replied they were there to catch germs and things that might go in the nose and when you blow your nose they come out. (I had a second to act, that was the best I could do!!) Shelby then said "God should have made zippers on the nose so we could zip them up and they wouldn't run." She just cracked me up!!!! When we got to her house, we hid the shirt (which still had wet paint on it) in the corner of the garage so it could dry and hope mommy wouldn't see it. Shelby wasn't quite sure which day was Mother's day (it was a whole week away). She said she would just ask her mommy everyday and give it to her when she told her it was Mother's Day. (LOL) I called Angela on Mother's Day to see if she had recieved her gift. She had recieved it and was wearing it. She told me it was ENORMOUS!!!! LOL.....

We had time to kill to try and let the shirt dry, so we played around in the store...

The cutest mouse I've ever seen!

Pirate Shelby

Secret Footage!!!

Jeff has no idea I took this video....he's gonna kill me!!! My sister gave Brooke a muscial toy that has a mirror, lights up and plays different songs. Apparently the "Wiggle Song" has stuck in Daddy's head and he deciced to sing it to Brooke while mommy was "doing the dishes".

Finally Found a Cake for Tracy's Baby Shower

As most of you know, my cousin Tracy who lives in Texas, is due to have a baby in October. The second I found out she was expecting, I called my aunt and told her I wanted to throw her a baby shower when she comes to GA in August. I have been researching cakes, cupcakes, cookies, invitations, etc. but wasn't sure what color theme I would do since we were unsure if she was having a boy or a girl. Well, she found out this past Monday that she is having a baby girl!!!!! What fun she will have with her!!! The clothes are so much more fun to shop for since there are sooooo many for girls!!! (If you've seen Brooke's closet you'll know what I mean ;) I'm still researching ideas for her shower, but I'm so excited!!! I've been taking cake decorating classes and I should be finished with the entire course in July, so I should be able to make a great cake. That being said, with the help of my sister, we have found a cake that I've decided to make for Tracy. I hate to let her see it before the shower, but I was so impressed with the look of this cake, I couldn't wait. ENJOY!!!

Of course, it will have Tracy's name on it!! lol
