Babyland General Hospital

Grandma loving on Brooke when we arrived at Babyland.

Here is Shelby in front of the sign when we arrived. She still had no idea what the surprise was.

Here is the video of Shelby when we entered Babyland General Hospital.

This is Gavin's excitement of the NICU.

Shelby is so excited at all the dolls. (The school bus Gavin wanted to get into)

Me and Brooke headed for the Magical Tree.

Which one is NOT the Cabbage Patch Doll???

Brooke with her cousin Shelby...Aren't they too cute together???

Here is where they put some of the newborn babies.

Here is a picture of one of the newborns that my mom and sister thought looked like Brooke.

Here is a side-by-side comparison..What do you think??

Here is a video of a Cabbage Patch Birth.

More pics....

Gavin and Shelby.....their little faces are priceless!!!

Can you guess which one I adopted???

Brooke hanging out in the crib with all the dolls.

This is the one my mom wanted to adopt...I think it was because of her name??? I almost adopted her because she was so cute and had brown eyes like Brooke but I decided to wait until she's a little older so she could pick out her own.

Grandma with almost all her grandkids (Kalyn's missing!!!)

I have always wanted to visit the Babyland General Hospital but never got around to it. Finally after all these years, my sister and I decided to take Shelby as a surprise this past Sunday. It was a short 3 hour drive, the kids were really good on the way up which made the trip seem so short. As we got closer to Cleveland, Ga where the hospital is, we started seeing huge billboard signs for the hospital with a huge picture of a Cabbage Patch doll on it. Angela and I would smirk at each other because luckily Shelby didn't notice any of them. We arrived at the hospital but all the signs say Babyland General Hospital so she had no idea where we were until we walked into the building. Even Gavin was excited when he saw all the dolls. He started beating on the glass where the dolls were in the office. They had the front 2 rooms set up like a hospital with babies in cribs and preemies in incubators. Then you walk down the hall and to the left through the window you get to look into the nursery where they take car of the newborns. They have a room that it set up like a school that was pretty neat. It had a big school bus against the wall with dolls inside so of course Gavin was trying to climb the wall to get to it. Then you walk into another room where the magical tree is. This is where the babies are born. There are dolls everywhere in this room. It was a pretty neat experience. I will definitely be taking Brooke back when she is older. After we left Cleveland, we noticed we were only about 10 miles from Helen, Ga and since neither my mom nor my sister have been there, we decided to spend a couple hours sightseeing there. We had a great time walking around a doing a little shopping. We ended the Helen trip with a carriage ride through town then headed home!
