This past Friday, my sister's family, my brother and our family went to dinner at Zen's Japanese Restaurant. We decided to head to my parent's house for a big party since they were out of town. Shelby wanted to ride with me over to my parent's house. (Jeff drove seperately because I had cake decorating class earlier). Shelby got in and was excited to sit next to Brooke. My sister's husband drove off and left her to ride with me. As we were riding down the road chatting, we noticed that Shelby had decided to sing to Brooke to try to keep her calm. It is the funniest and sweetest thing. Shelby makes up her own songs which makes it even funnier and even more sweet. Brooke is usually fine in the backseat as long as her pacifier is in her mouth. It's when she drops it that she starts her fit. Listen closely to what Shelby says in her song in the bottom video!!

How sweet! I think Shelby may have a future as a singer/song writer. Maybe when she is 16 we will see her on Idol. She's got my vote!

That is hilarious and very, very sweet of cousin Shelby...and it actually sounded like it calmed Brooke down in the second video :) How wonderful to have so many talented babysitters near you!
