BREAKING NEWS!!!!

Brooke finally rolled over tonight about 6:30 pm!!! I tried so hard to catch it on video!! I have 1000+ videos of her trying but missed the actual act! I'm so glad I did get to see it!!! I was making dinner in a hurry because Jeff was about to sign into Skype for our video chats and I looked back and she was on her side. About a second later, she rolled over onto her stomach!! I was so proud of my little girl!!! It's so amazing how a simple act like rolling over can bring such joy and emotions to us mothers. I had tears in my eyes! I let her know how proud I was of her. She was just smiling back at me like she knew what she had just accomplished. I had almost decided that Brooke was going to skip rolling over. Her cousin, Braden, who was born the same day as Brooke rolled over June 21st here at our house. I guess the next act will be crawling, unless of course, she skips over that. We'll see!!!

I tried to film her rolling over again, but she is camera shy apparently.

Maybe this outfit from her Aunt Kelly helped out a lot!!!

Brooke on the couch after the big act and after dinner!

She was trying to do it again on the couch.

This is Brooke about 11pm tonight. She decided to wake up after sleeping for 2 hours. I guess she was too excited to sleep.

I tried to get her to roll over again on video but she wasn't having that. She was tired and ready for bed by this point.

Yeah Brooke! How exciting! They just grow way too fast, before you know it she'll be asking to borrow the keys to the car!

Way to go, Brooke! I'd like to think the rolling definitely had something to do with the outfit and how proud she knew her Aunt Kelly would be if she made such a big milestone :) Give that rolling girl a hug from us and a high five (or rather a pinch) from her cousin Ash...maybe it was all those rolls onto Brooke that Ash did in NC that made Brooke want to take the plunge?! Either way, we're proud of our Brooke girl! YAY!!!!
