About 2 months ago, we tried to let Brooke eat with a fork and a spoon with her food in a plate. The only thing she wanted to do was throw the plate, so I decided to wait until now to try again. I just laughed looking back over these pictures from dinner tonight! What a mess!!!

It amazes me how she knows to pick the fork up and scoop up food, but somehow the food goes into her hand then her mouth.
I think she was enjoying this a little too much!

After dinner, I had the pleasure of cleaning up her highchair and surrounding area while Daddy gave Brooke her bath. As I cleaning up, I heard Brooke laughing at silly sounds her Daddy was making. I tried to take a secret video but Brooke caught me. They were so cute in the bathroom!!

ah, yes...self-feeding is our life now with Ash. It is one reason why I'm so exhausted some days...she is the messiest eater I've ever seen and she seems to find great joy in staining all her clothes and our floor :) It's a joy! :) Have fun with all that with Miss Brooke. I sometimes look fondly back on the days of nursing and her just eating baby food...cuz now all she wants to do is sit in a big girl chair w/o a bib, feed herself and make a big ol' toddler mess! :) Our girls are growing up...gotta love it!
