Today was the day, my first ever spouse's flight. My fear of flying was not keeping me from flying on Jeff's plane!!! During our "briefing", 4 names were picked out of a bag, one being mine! I guess it was my lucky day! (more to come on that!) All the husbands and kids walked us out to the plane and waved goodbye to their Mommies. When we boarded the plane, I grabbed a seat facing backwards. A few of the wives were not thrilled with the thought of take-off and were happy to roll around on the runway for an hour! I was happy either way. Just to let you know, sitting backwards during takeoff was a very strange feeling!! We first flew up to good ole' Crestview. We got to walk up to the cockpit and lookout, but it was much easier to look out the windows of the plane to find landmarks. We flew directly over our house so I didn't get to see it. I did however, get to see our neighborhood! We flew back down to Niceville, Destin and then to Panama City. After Panama City, we flew down the coast to Pensacola and back to Destin. Now to let you know what my name was called for!! I won the chance along with one other wife, to sit in the cockpit for the landing!! How cool was that!! They gave us headsets to wear and told us what their call sign was so we could listen in on what they were doing. I think I could be a pilot!! I mean, the co-pilot told the pilot what to push. I just need to know a "few" buttons!! Yeah, right!! I had a good time on the flight (oh yeah, they baked cookies in-flight for us too!) I just wish they did a kids flight. I would love to take Brooke up on Daddy's plane! I overheard someone say they were trying to make this a yearly event which would be something to look forward too! They let us take pictures of the plane afterwards so here are a few of Jeff with the Austin and Brooke and then one of the wives. Some showed up after the flight to get in on the picture. Cheaters!

Very cool. I know a certain Pops who might want to pretend to be a "wife" next time this opportunity arises :) I'm sure he was itch'n to be in your shoes when he read about this! Lucky you! Happy B-day, by the way...and hope Major Hunk has a great 1st tomorrow! Miss you guys and wish we were there to celebrate. Love ya!!
