Thursday, I decided to buy Brooke a mat to put on the floor instead of her having to lay on a blanket on the carpet. She just stared at the colorful mat after I laid it down. It's much more comfortable than the carpet was. Friday, my cousin Jeffrey and his wife came up from Jacksonville with their baby boy Braden. Braden and Brooke were born on the same day so we call them twin cousins. Brooke was asleep when they arrived. When she woke up I sat next to Braden on the couch and he "said" something very loudly and Brooke did her boo-boo lip and started crying. It took us quite a while to calm her down. We didn't really put them back together the rest of the night. Saturday I woke up early and made breakfast for everyone before heading to my fondant class. (More to come on that later). I met both Jeffs at my grandmothers house and then we all headed to the Golden Corral for lunch (Grandma's pick). After lunch we went to my parents and hung out for a couple hours. Amanda and I were exhausted from trying to keep the babies happy. Both babies were extremely tired (esp. Braden). I finally got Brooke to sleep, but her nap was only about 20 minutes. We came back to the house and hung out. Braden got a little fussy so Amanda and I took a walk to calm the kids down. Boy was it HOT!!!! We were all in the bed by around 10pm or so. The exciting life of being parents...lol. They left around 10am this morning to head back home to Jacksonville. We enjoyed having them stay here this weekend. We didn't really do anything too exciting, but it's definitely hard with babies. There's always next time. I'd also like to wish Jeff a Happy 1st Father's Day today. As most of you know, Jeff will be deploying on Wednesday ;(
As always, I hate that he's going over there and I know leaving this time will be harder on us since this is his first deployment away from his daughter. She will be 8 months old when he gets back. I hope he has a safe trip and hurries home to his family. We miss him already and he's still here.
A video of Brooke and Braden on Great-Grandma's bed
The view from Brooke's room today. I've never seen them out during the day like this. The buck was actually eating a vine attached to our fence. I guess Dutch was asleep and missed the deer because I know he would have been after them had he seen them.

Great pictures. I love the one of Braden with the deer in the head light look like Brooke! Funny too of them on the mat. Braden in the pink bumbo chair and Brooke in the blue pjs. You have to take a double look! I bet you all enjoyed each others company.
