Torticollis Update!!
I have decided (as I have discussed with Jeff) that the Physical Therapist Brooke has been seeing is not doing a good job and in my opinion, he feels we are wasting his time. We saw him a week before Jeff deployed. He showed us some excercises to do at home to help strengthen her neck. I continued to do these excercises until the followup appointment. At the next appointment, the PT said her neck was doing great, continue the same treatment and he didn't feel the need for us to come back. I told him I would like him to continue to follow her because we are all worried about her condition. I went back the following week to have him say the same thing. I told him I was still very concerned with her neck as it is still leaning to the right and not at all to the left. I told him it was getting very hard for me to do the stretches because she tries to roll over in the process so I didn't think they were helping. He didn't seem to care and said she was fine and no need to follow-up. The more I watch her, the more I worry. Jeff notices it while watching her on Skype and he worries too!! I decided to get a second opinion. I called the Tricare refferal desk this morning and they told me to find another PT in network and call them back to let them know and they would change it in the system. Well, after searching and calling several that don't treat children, I found one in Macon (3o miles away-I'd drive to Atlanta if I had too!) that has a pediatric physical therapist on Fridays. I scheduled an appt. for this Friday afternoon. I called the referral desk and gave the lady the information. Shortly after I got off the phone, I got a call back from the referral desk telling me that Brooke had to see the Dr. again to get her opinion on whether or not she needed more treatment. I hung up and called the appt. desk and told the guy I needed an appt. ASAP, today if they had something. Luckily they had a 2:20 appt.! When I got back to see the Doctor, she informed me that they tried to call me. (on Jeff's # which is dc'd while he's deployed.) They have my number, I don't know why they called his phone!! Anyways, the Dr. said I did not have to come in, the referral desk was wrong. We are entitled to a second opinion. So I am waiting on the referral to go through for the new PT so we can go to the Friday appt. Meanwhile, they did weigh and measure Brooke before we saw the Doctor. When the Doctor came in to talk to us about the situation, she commented on how long Brooke was. She said she was going to be nosey and check out her growth curve in the computer. Turns out, our Big girl now weighs 20lbs and has gone from 94% two weeks ago to be 99% in weight and is no longer in the 99% for height, she's now 100%. LOL... I'll keep everyone posted on her Torticollis status.

I'm glad you are getting a second opinion, Candy. I would too. I'm really surprised that first PT said everything looked fine. I'll be interested to hear what another PT says. I would think at this point (since Brooke is moving more) they would want to do the PT in the office (not at home). It's too hard for you to do all that since she's starting to move more and is so strong.
And LOL on her 100% length! That is too funny. I bet she'll be taller than Ash next time we see you. Though Ash I bet will always be "pleasantly plumper" :) Miss you guys!!!
